Brandon Lopez takes 8th-place finish at Cordele
A home-state start was on the schedule for Brandon Lopez and his Bryson Lopez Racing team on Saturday as they competed in a $6,000-to-win Pro Late Model program at Cordele (Georgia) Motor Speedway.
Lopez qualified seventh in the 14-car field at the 4/10-mile oval, clocking a 16.846-second lap in his No. 6 Trent Pippin Trucking | Atlanta Paving & Concrete Construction Chevrolet SS.
He ran in the top five for much of the middle portion of the 100-lap feature before ultimately coming home eighth.
