BLR shows speed in tough night at Orange County Speedway
Bryson Lopez Racing (BLR) unloaded three fast Chevrolet SS Pro Late Models for Saturday’s zMAX CARS Tour stop at Orange County Speedway in Rougemont, North Carolina. Unfortunately, the team was unable to come away from the 0.375-mile oval with the results to match the performance.
Driving the No. 47 Chevrolet, Tyler Reif turned in the best qualifying time for BLR in the 15-car Pro Late Model field with a third-place effort. He led more than half the 100-lap Pro Late Model portion of the Folsom Fence Supply 250 but was involved in a crash while running inside the top three, relegating him to a 15th-place result with a DNF.
Brandon Lopez qualified his No. 6 LeeBoy Chevrolet in the fifth spot and was having a solid night until he was forced to pit with a loose plug wire. He ultimately finished 11th.
Last year’s CARS Tour Pro Late Model champion, Kaden Honeycutt, rounded out the BLR trio at Orange County in the No. 31 Atlanta Paving & Concrete Construction Chevy. He qualified 10th and suffered a mechanical failure during the race, putting him 13th in the final rundown.
