BLR posts trio of top-10 finishes at Florence
Bryson Lopez Racing (BLR) brought three cars to Florence Motor Speedway for Friday’s Pro Late Model portion of the zMAX CARS Tour Cook Out 225. Each Chevrolet SS finished in the top 10 at the 4/10-mile track in Timmonsville, South Carolina.
In qualifying for the 13-ca field, Tyler Reif led BLR with a third-place effort in the No. 47 Chevrolet, while Chase Burgeson turned in the ninth-quickest time in the No. 31 Burgeson’s HVAC Chevy. Lopez rounded out the BLR cars, clocking in 12th driving his No. 6 LeeBoy Chevrolet.
Reif maintained a spot inside the top five for the duration of the 100-lap, $4,000-to-win main event and finished third behind Keelan Harvick and Conner Jones.
Meanwhile, Lopez methodically climbed through the field and ultimately finished fifth behind Harvick, Jones, Reif and Isaac Kitzmiller.
Buregeson picked up one spot in the race and finished eighth.
With just three events left in the CARS Tour season, Lopez sits second in the Pro Late Model standings, 30 markers behind Ben Maier. Reif, contesting a limited schedule, is ninth in points.
