Brandon Lopez grabs top-5 finishes in CARS Tour finale at North Wilkesboro
The zMAX CARS Tour’s 2025 campaign came to a close on Saturday at the historic North Wilkesboro Speedway. Bryson Lopez Racing (BLR) fielded three Pro Late Models and one Late Model Stock at the historic oval in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, with driver Brandon Lopez turning in the day’s best results.
In qualifying for the $5,000-to-win Pro Late Model portion of the event, T.J. DeCaire led BLR with a second-place effort around the 5/8-mile track aboard the team's No. 88 Chevrolet SS. His teammate Tyler Reif qualified ninth in the No. 47 Atlanta Paving & Concrete Construction Chevy, while Lopez lined up 10th in his No. 6 LeeBoy Chevrolet.
Lopez worked steadily forward throughout the 23-car Northwest Automotive 100 and finished in the fifth position behind Keelan Harvick, Luke Baldwin, Conner Jones and Ben Maier. With the result, Lopez wrapped up second in the Pro Late Model division point standings.
Meanwhile, DeCaire made early contact with the wall in turns one and two and was forced to make multiple trips down pit road for repairs. Still, he finished in the top 10 in eighth place.
Reif worked his way into the top five in the race's first half, but was collected in an accident in turn two on lap 66, ending his day. He came home 16th.
Lopez also competed in the Late Model Stock division for the second time in his career on Saturday. After qualifying 16th for the $10,000-to-win Crossroads Harley-Davidson 125, he was impressive throughout the race en route to finishing fifth. He took the checkered flag following Caden Kvapil, Landon S. Huffman, Parker Eatmon and Connor Hall in the strong 28-car field.
