Runner-up finish for Brandon Lopez in the Big Ace Race
On Saturday, Brandon Lopez made just his third career start in a Late Model Stock Car and grabbed a second-place result at Altamahaw, North Carolina’s Ace Speedway.
The Bryson Lopez Racing driver was one of 15 Late Model Stock competitors at the 4/10-mile speed plant for the program known as “The Big Ace Race.” Lopez qualified 11th for the $10,000-to-win main event in his No. 6 Atlanta Paving & Concrete Construction Chevrolet prepared by Trevor Ward Motorsports.
Despite starting deep in the field in the 150-lap feature, Lopez showed good long-run speed and finished as runner-up behind Blake Stallings. Dillon Harville, Parker Eatmon and Aiden King rounded out the top five.
