Bryson Lopez Racing kicks off 2026 season with Winter Heat at Charlotte Roval
Brothers Brandon and Zach Lopez lifted the lid on their 2026 campaign on Saturday in Concord, North Carolina. The Bryson Lopez Racing duo competed in the Semi-Pro Legends class during Round 1 of Winter Heat at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval, with Brandon turning in a top-five result. The Winter Heat event was the debut for Legends cars on the Roval configuration.
The Lopez brothers’ 860 Motorsports-prepared machines were two of 35 cars in the Semi-Pro class on the 17-turn, 2.32-mile road course. Brandon qualified his No. 6 car in the fourth spot, while Zach rolled off 24th in the No. 18.
In the eight-lap B-Feature race, Brandon fell back early, but recovered to finish fourth behind Finn Buckley, Aiden McConnaughey and Hunter Jordan. Gerardo Peralta rounded out the top five.
Meanwhile, Zach climbed four positions and finished 20th.
Racing was scheduled all weekend, but due to time constraints and inclement weather, Rounds 2 and 3 of Winter Heat were postponed until Saturday, Jan. 24 and Sunday, Jan. 25.
